Elite Baseball League of Ontario - FAQ's
Do Players Need a Release?
The Elite Baseball League of Ontario agreement allows players to try-out for any EBLO teams. Releases are needed, but they are granted if done by the September threshold date. If completed after threshold date, players will have to follow the normal release procedure.
What level is Elite Baseball League of Ontario baseball?
The Elite Baseball League is taking the place of AAA programming for the Bantam, Minor Midget and Midget levels. EBLO will have its own regular season loop.
Can Elite Baseball League of Ontario teams compete in OBA sanctioned tournaments, the OBA Provincial Championship or Canadian Eliminations?
Yes.
When are Elite Baseball League of Ontario rosters due?
Mid-September 2019, for the 2020 season.
Can a Midget Elite Baseball League of Ontario team carry Minor aged players?
Yes.
How does Elite Baseball League of Ontario player signing work?
Signing is the equivalent to the completion of the EBLO community’s registration form and payment.
If I sign with a Elite Baseball League of Ontario team, how long am I committed to that particular team?
For one (1) baseball season, starting in September and ending in August.
If I sign with a Elite Baseball League of Ontario team and then quit mid year, can I go back to my host community and play for them?
If the team you wish to play for is not a Elite Baseball League of Ontario team, yes.
Can a Player Be Rostered on a EBLO team and a CPBL, PBLO Roster?
No, EBLO does not allow for players to be on CPBL or PBLO rosters.
