Oshawa Legionaires 18u, Win the "Cincy Flames" Tournament


Congratulations to the Oshawa Legionaires 18u, on winning the "Cincy Flames" Tournament. The Cincy Flames Baseball tournament is recognized as one of the premier youth baseball organizations in the America.

Game Recaps:

Game 1 - Oshawa vs Michigan Bulls 18U: Lost 7-1

Game 2 - Oshawa vs Cincinnati Royals 18U: Won 9-7, WP: Quin McLane, SV: Dan Schultz

7 run top of the 3rd won it for Oshawa. Jacob Miller went 3/3 with an RBI triple and a homerun and Tyler Robichaud had a 2 RBI triple

Game 3 - Oshawa vs Cincy Flames 18U: Tied 4-4

Carter Arbuthnot went the CG with 2 ER and 3 Ks, also went 1/3 with an RBI double. Quin McLane went 3/3 with a triple and a homerun. They loaded the bases with 1 out in the bottom of 7 and Arbuthnot got out of it for the tie.

Game 4 - Oshawa vs XBU (Ohio) 18U: Lost 10-6, LP: Addam Wilson

Wilson pitched well but the defence wasn't sharp. Davis McMillan hit a HR in the 7th but too little too late

Game 5 (quarter-final) - Oshawa vs Team Ontario Astros 18U: Won 4-0, WP: Ryan Laird.

Laird with a CG shutout against his former team. Davis McMillan was 2/3 with 2 doubles, an RBI and a run scored. Evan Shillabeer and Dan Schultz both had an RBI hit.

Game 6 (semi-final) - Oshawa vs Cincinnati Impact 18U: Won 4-3 (8 innings), WP: Dan Schultz.

Braden Babcock went 7 IP of 2 ER, 0 walks and 7 Ks and we walked it off in the bottom of the 8th on a Davis McMillan walk-off single. Carter Arbuthnot was 3/4 with an RBI. Jacob Miller was 2/4 with 2 runs and a double

Game 7 (final) Oshawa vs Patriots Baseball 18U (Missouri): Won 3-2 (8 innings), WP: Tyler Robichaud.

Down 2-0 going into the bottom of the 7th, Quin McLane led off the inning with a homerun and then we loaded the bases with 2 outs and Lucas Fasullo hit an RBI single to tie the game. Then in the bottom of the 8th Dan Schultz came off the bench for an RBI walk-off hit to win the tournament. Ryan Laird was 2/4. 16U call-up Tyler Robichaud was 2/2 at the plate and threw 3 shutout innings in relief for the win
