Ontario Youth Team Tryouts


The Ontario Youth Team will be hosting tryouts in Windsor, April 26-28 and in Vaughn, May 17-19. Try out registration information will be posted shortly.

The Ontario Cup is the start of the selection process that determines the players that comprise the Ontario Youth Team which, in 2019, will represents Ontario at the Canada Cup in Regina, Saskatchewan.

Only four provinces British Columbia, Saskatchewan, Ontario and Quebec have been lucky enough to lift the Baseball Canada Cup, since the event began in 1989. In 2018, Canada’s east coast, Moncton/Dieppe New Brunswick, had the privilege of hosting the national tournament. It was Ontario who came away with a 9-5 victory, their ninth gold, first at the Canada Cup up since 2012.

Date and Location:

In 2019, there will be two events. One in the Windsor area April 27 - 28, and one at Vaughan Grove Sports Complex May 17 - 19. Players must choose which location they will attend when registering. All players must be prepared to participate in the entire event they choose.

40 players will advance to a 2nd camp (July 1-2) at Vaughan Grove Sports Complex .

Eligibility:

Only players registered with a recognized Baseball Ontario program, including CPBL and PBLO program, are eligible to participate in the Ontario Cup

Tournament. This is a 17U tournament, and birth dates go by the calendar year.
