The Ontario "18u Elimination" tournament determines the representative for Ontario, which competes at the annual National tournament. This year, Ontario was granted to have two participants. Both the London Badgers and the Etobicoke Rangers who both met in the Elimination tournament final, also met in the finals of the National Championship. The 2018 National tournament was held in Fort McMurray, Alberta. Congratulations to the EBLO's Etobicoke Rangers 18u.
The Rangers finished first in their pool beating many strong teams including Provincial champions from Alberta and Nova Scotia, along with the host team. In the semi finals they faced a tough team from Quebec and won convincingly 6-1.
The gold medal was in typical Ranger fashion, boys battled to come back late in the game, falling just short 5-4 to London.
