2017 Elite Baseball League of Ontario

Showcase Tournament

Welcome to the 3rd annual Elite Division Tournament dated May 26-28, 2017, hosted by Brampton, Vaughan and West Toronto.

My name is Frank Fascia and I have been the liaison for this tournament up to this point.  During this tournament weekend I, Stan Wilson and Gurpreet Sidhu will convene the Brampton diamonds.  David Quattrociocchi  will convene at Keelesdale and Jeff Winick will convene the Vaughan diamond.

The 15U tournament format is 20 teams, with five divisions of four teams.  Each team will play a three game round robin.  Each division winner will advance to a quarter final on Saturday night, as well as

three wild card teams made up as the three best teams remaining outside of the five division winners. The 16U tournament is an 8 team format of two divisions of four teams.  Each team will play three round robin games with the top two teams in each division moving to the semi finals on Sunday,

*Please ensure you understand OBA roster rules are in effect*

If you have any questions prior to the tournament please feel free to contact myself.  Once the tournament commences, please direct all questions to an on-site convenor.

Have a great weekend. Have fun. Enjoy the competition.

Play-off round: Winner of each pool advance to final 8 along with next two best teams as wild cards. WC determined by W-L record and ties broken by fewest runs allowed, the best ratio runs allowed over defensive innings played, then best runs for and against, then most runs.
